This year’s Guest of Honour- rescue - ‘Harvey Ross- Wells’

"Hello! My name is Harvey! I'd like to tell you my story...

I was born in Serbia, and while I was there I had a human. I loved them lots and lots, but they wouldn't let me be with them to give them cuddles and kisses, they wanted to me stay outside on a chain, i didn't like that

Then, they took me to a place that was very grey and caged. In this place gave me a green hose pipe tied around my neck to be a collar. It didn't feel very comfortable and I didn't like it there. I was so scared of all the big dogs We were all so hungry. They wanted to send me to a farm or somewhere they said, something about a colourful bridge.

Thankfully, a lovely human called Dragana saved me from the nasty place and i went to live with Vladimir and lots of other doggies at a Kennel. We got to eat food every day and play together a couple of hours a day - then had to stay in our kennel on our own. It was nicer there, but i wanted to be with a family again to give all my cuddles and love to!

After a long time, lovely human called Roxie sponsored me to go in a car (I don't like cars a lot) and come to the UK at the start of the year. Her and her man human Glenn looked after me! They gave me the best food and I got to stay with my friend Luna from the kennel so i wasn't all alone somewhere new.

Then, my pet Luke found me on something called "Book of faces" and he spoke to Roxie and pleaded to come and see me! He was worried I might not like his small human but really wanted me to live with him and his family. He came to see me and the silly person got down on the floor when it was all wet to make me feel safe! He was funny. he took me for a walk and he loved me straight away.
Then, he brought his small human to see me, and I decided to surprise him. I sniffed his small human and gave him kisses! Showed him that I'm a good boy and I could go home with him :

On 14th February, Valentines day apparently, Daddy Luke picked me up and took me home. I was really sad that I wouldn't live with Roxie, Glenn and Luna any more, but I was excited to see what my new home was going to look like!
Daddy Luke and Mummy Becca take great care of me, they bought me my own special pillow to sleep on their bed with them in case i get scared and they give me the tastiest foods that makes my tummy all happy. Mummy likes giving me "stinky sticks", I don't think they're that stinky, but they are delicious!
I love going for exercise with my Daddy and drag him out of bed and round the park 3 times a day so I can sniffle and snuffle and do my business.
And we go to a place called Foxy Farm with my cousins Ernie and Cassie - they're dogs from Romania so we are better at talking than some of the other dogs I meet. I can run around without my lead on there! oh its so much fun.

I'm really happy that I have a comfy forever home now with Daddy Luke and Mummy Becca, and I will always be thankful to Auntie Roxie and Uncle Glenn for saving me and helping me find where I belong.

Me and my family will be at the Animal Aid Festival this year and my daddy is entering me into the dog competition. Please come and say hello to me."
